Welcome to the Southam College website.I hope you find this website of interest and that it answers many of your questions about the college. Southam College is an 11-18 mixed comprehensive (community) school with approximately 1,140 students on roll. In our most recent OfSTED inspection report (February 2008) we were given grades for 26 aspects of the main school and 12 aspects of the sixth form. All the grades were 'good' or 'outstanding'. In recent years the college has seen major improvements in student achievement and educational facilities, particularly since its designation as a Technology College in September 2000, as a Humanities College in September 2004 and as a Vocational College in April 2006. As the result of a constant drive to innovate and improve, our performance in external examinations is consistently above national averages and shows a rate of improvement which exceeds the national trend. A talented and dedicated staff have created a caring but work-focused ethos, within which everyone is challenged to achieve their potential. This applies not only to the specialist College subjects of English, Mathematics, Geography, History, Science and Technology but to the Arts and Social Sciences as well. The College has an active Parent Teacher Association which has its own pages on this site - see the menu left. For Staff and Students access to Warwickshire WE-Learn Portal click on the logo below.
