Year 8 2026-27

Welcome Back, Year 8!

I hope you had a brilliant summer and I hope you are looking forward to a new year at school. I am really excited to be reunited with you on your journey here at Southam College and feel privileged to be your Head of Year full time. Having worked with for a short period of time I know what amazing group of students we have in year 8 and we have a fantastic year ahead of us!

It is really important that we set the tone for the year in this first term, so be determined to have a great start with correct uniform, equipment and mindset! I expect effort to be applied inside and outside of the classroom by taking every opportunity whether it is answering a question or joining an extra-curricular club. Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone will contribute to you being the best that you can be!
