Year 9 2026-27

Hi Year 9,

I hope you are all doing well and are feeling settled in Year 9. If you have any problems or concerns, please come to see me in the Head of Year Office, or speak to your tutor and we will support you as much as we can.

Can I also remind you all that school now has a “bell-to-bell” phone-free policy, meaning students cannot use mobile phones from the moment they enter school grounds until the end of the school day, including lessons, lesson changeover, breaktimes, and lunchtime. This applies not only to smartphones but also to other smart devices capable of messaging, notifications, or recording. If you bring your phone to school, it MUST be switched off and kept out of sight in your bag (not your pocket). If your phone is seen, it will be confiscated until a parent, or carer comes to school to collect it. That is inconvenient for you and your parent /carer, so please take responsibility and follow the rules on phones.
